The Volkl Blaze 106 skis with bindings blurs the line between all-mountain and freeride capabilities. One of the lightest skis on the market today outside of touring specific skis, the Blaze 106 skis heavier than it feels. That is thanks in part to a Titanal Binding Platform for binding retention, which also gives the Blaze 106 a stronger feel underfoot than you might expect. Responsive and lively, the Volkl Blaze 106 skis with bindings have a ton of maneuverability and quickness to them, but Volkl does a great job at making the skis stable and smooth all the while. Volkl's 3D Radius sidecut gives the ski a lot of extra versatility in the shape of the turn, putting more of the control onto the feet of the skier, allowing it to make any shape turn at any point. This makes the Blaze 106 have a wide appeal to a larger variety of skiers, turn shapes and applications. The Blaze 106 will make a fantastic powder ski with a great flex and profile. Rubber in the tips and tails keep the extremities quiet, and for an all-wood ski, this is a much-needed and appreciated addition to the build. Great at smearing and sliding through soft snow, it’s a nice alternative to heavier, more demanding skis. Intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a light, wide, and floaty ski will love the soft snow versatility of the Volkl Blaze 106 skis with bindings.
